FAQS

The Ethos

    • Immersive Om isn’t just a yoga, mat and Reformer Pilates studio—it’s a multisensory wellness experience designed to reconnect you with your body, your breath, and your inner world.

    • From immersive visuals and soundscapes to infrared heat, signature scent, somatic guidance, towel service, and intentional class design, every detail is curated to support deep presence, nervous system regulation, and real transformation—inside and out.

    • Our classes blend yoga, mat, Reformer Pilates, strength, stillness, movement, and meditation, weaving together breathwork, sound, and sensory elements to create experiences that go far beyond a workout.

    • We’re here for people who want more than sweat.
More awareness. More depth. More connection.
At Immersive Om, you don’t just move—you arrive.

    • Immersive Om is for every body—every age, every background, every stage of your journey. Whether you’re brand new to movement or deeply experienced, our yoga, mat, and Reformer Pilates classes are designed to meet you where you are.

    • Our teachers offer layered guidance, thoughtful pacing, and accessible options so you can move in a way that feels supportive, empowering, and sustainable for your body.

    • You may feel challenged at times—and that’s part of the experience. We invite you to release comparison, tune into sensation, and move with awareness rather than performance. Over time, you’ll build not just strength and flexibility, but trust in your own body and nervous system.

    • This isn’t about perfection.
This is about presence, connection, and conscious movement.

    • If you’re navigating injuries, chronic pain, or medical conditions, we recommend consulting your healthcare professional before starting a new movement practice. Our instructors are here to support you with care, but your safety always comes first.

    • Yes. Our classes offer a range of intensities and experiences, so you can choose what best supports your body, energy, and intentions on any given day.

      Yoga Classes:
Most of our yoga classes are accessible to all levels, with options and variations offered by the teacher.

      • Earth is grounding, balancing, and strengthening—focused on stability, presence, and building a strong foundation.

      • Water is a hip-opening focused class designed to create space, mobility, and emotional release.

      • Fire is more physically challenging and heat-driven, supporting strength, stamina, and core activation.

      • Air blends yin and restorative practices for deep release, longer holds, and nervous system calming.

      • Space focuses on somatic practices, sound therapy, Nada Yoga (yoga of music) and chant for inner awareness and deep regulation.

      • Om weaves together meditation, breathwork, reflection, and Yoga Nidra for deep rest and integration.

      • Sacred 7 is our more advanced, traditional, and challenging class, best suited for experienced practitioners and based on Sivananda sequence.

      Reformer Pilates & Mat Pilates:
Our Reformer and Mat Pilates classes are offered in three energetic styles:

      • SUN is higher intensity and includes heat (mat class only), focusing on strength, power, and endurance.

      • NOVA is medium intensity, featuring more dynamic, flowing movement.

      • MOON is more primal, slow, and restorative, emphasizing grounding, control, and deep connection.

No matter which class you choose, our teachers offer guidance and options so you can move safely, progressively, and with confidence.

    • For yoga classes, we encourage students to bring their own yoga mat. If you don’t have one, we offer mats for rent and mats and towel-mats for purchase at the studio.

    • For mat Pilates classes, you don’t need to bring a mat—we provide specialized mats designed for those sessions. You’re more than welcome to bring your own mat towel if you prefer.

    • For our hot and warm classes, we provide fresh face towels after class so you can cool down and refresh.

    • For safety, hygiene, and optimal performance, grip socks are required for all Reformer Pilates sessions. They help provide traction, support stability, and allow our instructors to cue alignment and movement with clarity and confidence.

    • If you forget your pair, no worries—we offer studio-approved grip socks for purchase at the studio.

    • Tactile cueing is one of the supportive tools our instructors may use in class. It involves gentle, intentional touch to help guide alignment, improve body awareness, and support safer, more effective movement. It’s not about force or correction—it’s about clarity, presence, and connection to your own body.

    • Your comfort always comes first. If you prefer not to receive tactile cueing, simply let your instructor know before class. You’re also welcome to change your preference at any time.

    • At Immersive Om, your practice is your own—and your boundaries are always respected.

    • A somatic approach means we focus on how movement feels on the inside, not just how it looks on the outside. “Somatic” simply means of the body—and in our classes, that means we prioritize sensation, awareness, breath, and nervous system regulation alongside strength and flexibility.

    • Instead of pushing through shapes or forcing performance, you’re guided to listen to your body, move with intention, and notice subtle signals like tension, ease, effort, and release. This helps improve coordination, reduce unnecessary strain, build body awareness, and create more sustainable, intelligent movement patterns.

    • At Immersive Om, a somatic approach supports deeper connection, safer practice, and more lasting results—whether you’re in yoga, mat, Reformer Pilates, meditation, or restorative classes. It’s not about doing more. It’s about moving better, with awareness and presence.

First Time

    • We suggest wearing comfortable, form-fitting attire that allows you to move freely and supports clear, safe alignment.

    • For yoga classes, breathable fabrics like 100% cotton shirts and joggers are great options. We kindly ask members to choose attire that offers appropriate coverage out of respect for the shared practice space. If you prefer looser tops, we recommend tucking them in to avoid distractions during movement.

    • For Reformer & Mat Pilates, we recommend form-fitting clothing that moves with you and allows instructors to cue alignment clearly. Shirts are required for all classes, and grip socks are required for all Reformer sessions for safety and stability.

    • For mat Pilates classes, you don’t need to bring a mat—we provide specialized mats designed for those sessions. For yoga classes, we encourage you to bring your own mat. If you don’t have one, we offer mats for rent and mats and towel-mats for purchase at the studio. You’re always welcome to bring your own mat towel if you prefer. After our hot and warm classes, we provide fresh face towels so you can cool down and refresh.

    • We recommend leaving jewelry at home for comfort and safety. Outside bags and phones are not allowed inside the studio and can be stored outside the class space.

    • Please bring a water bottle (no glass, please). We have tap water available, and we also offer reusable water bottles and bottled water for purchase at the studio.

    • You’re very welcome here. Immersive Om is designed to support you whether you’re completely new to movement or returning after a long break.

    • Our instructors are trained to offer clear guidance, thoughtful progressions, and supportive options so you can move at your own pace and build confidence safely. You don’t need to be flexible, strong, or experienced to start—you just need to show up.

    • We’ll help you develop strength, mobility, and body awareness with intention and care, and over time you may be surprised by what your body can do.

    • Everyone starts somewhere. At Immersive Om, you start with support, presence, and respect for your own journey.

    • At Immersive Om, every class is designed to be immersive, intentional, and uninterrupted. To maintain the flow and ensure everyone’s safety, doors close at the scheduled start time, and late admittance may not be possible.

    • First-time visitors: please arrive 10–15 minutes early so we can welcome you, provide guidance, and orient you to the space. Our studio layouts and class formats are carefully curated—arriving late can disrupt both your practice and the collective experience.

    • For Reformer Pilates classes, early arrival is especially important. We provide a brief orientation to the machines before class begins. If we are unable to safely provide this, we may kindly reschedule your session.

    • We invite you to see arrival as your first ritual—a chance to transition into presence, connect with your breath, and prepare for your immersive practice. Your punctuality helps shape not just your experience, but the experience of everyone moving alongside you.

    • Immersive Om does not offer showers. Our space is designed for immersive, intentional movement, not hurried transitions.

    • We invite you to embrace the sweat in hot and warm classes, enjoy the afterglow of your practice, and carry that sense of presence with you into the rest of your day.

Treatment rooms are in use throughout the day, so we kindly ask that you speak in a low tone while waiting for class or using shared spaces. This ensures a calm, restorative environment for everyone in the studio.

    • Shared Space Etiquette:
Throughout all shared areas, including hallways and lounges, we ask members to maintain a quiet, considerate presence. Your mindfulness helps preserve the immersive, restorative energy of the studio for all guests.

Forgot yours? We offer studio-approved grip socks for purchase on-site—selected for both function and aesthetic.

    • We use precisely controlled infrared heat to create a safe and effective environment for movement. Temperature is adjusted according to the intensity of each class:

      • Hot classes: 80–90°F

      • Warm classes: 70–75°F

Safety Note: We carefully monitor heat and humidity to ensure your comfort and safety. Hydration breaks are provided in every heated class, and we encourage you to listen to your body—feel free to step out or rest if you feel lightheaded or need a break.

    • During class, our instructors focus on movement and postures that naturally elevate your body temperature, working with the heat rather than forcing it. This approach allows you to sweat, release tension, and build strength—without overexertion or artificial intensity. Our heat is intentional, supporting your practice rather than trying to “fake” effort.

    • We invite you to disconnect. To maintain a bodyful, distraction-free atmosphere, phones are not permitted during class.

    • Immersive Om does not offer showers. Our space is designed for immersive, intentional movement, not hurried transitions.

Medical Inquiries

    • We recommend consulting your healthcare provider before beginning any new fitness routine, especially if you have an existing injury, medical condition, or are pregnant.

    • For the safety of both parent and baby, we have specific guidelines for practicing during pregnancy:

      • Reformer & Mat Pilates: If you are 14 weeks pregnant or further, you must bring a note from your doctor to participate in Reformer or mat Pilates classes. This ensures your instructor can provide safe modifications and support.

      • Hot Classes: Regardless of medical notes, hot classes are not safe during pregnancy and cannot be attended.

      • Recommended Classes: We highly encourage pregnant members to attend Air, Space, and Om classes, which are gentle, restorative, and safe for this stage of pregnancy.

      • Breathwork: If you are pregnant, you may not practice breath retention techniques (including certain pranayama), even with a doctor’s note. Breath retention can reduce oxygen supply to your baby and is therefore considered unsafe.

      • Your safety and well-being are our top priority. Please speak with your instructor before class so we can provide modifications and ensure a safe, supportive practice.

      • If you are pregnant you must email us and let us know prior to booking any classes.
